Your support enhances the lives of persons with disabilities with an emphasis on persons who are mentally retarded.  We have three types for volunteer positions.  One is at the Houston, TX. main office, one is in Houston working independently, and the other is a virtual volunteer position (Volunteer anywhere in the world). Below is a list of volunteer opportunities.

Detail-  Ongoing  We are starting to recruit volunteers to help with Discover Technology's Student Art Project. We need volunteers who will call their local schools and art schools and let them know about the Student Art Project. This project is not going to start now but we are seeing who would like to help.

Artists Needed for Art for the Disabled Community (Houston, TX)
Detail- Need artists to help with an art project. Nowadays, there is a lack of art created that represents the disabled community, can be used as clip art.

Flash Designers  
Detail- Looking for people to set up a small educational flash area intended for training sessions. The educational flash area would be for groups of disabled person who are: learning to move the mouse, only able to move the mouse, learning to use the keyboard, or can just hit the key board. Some examples are on Discover Technology's web site

Shop at Kroger's in Texas or Louisiana    
Detail- You can help us raise funds by having the teller scan our Kroger Share Card. By doing this Kroger will give 1% of the money they receive to us. Discover Technology is trying to raise money for needed adaptive equipment (which is usually very expensive) for persons with disabilities. Please fill out the form at  that we can send you the card. You need to be living in Texas or Louisiana.

Detail-Texans you can help us raise funds by registering our Good Neighbor account number 10261 to your Randall’s Remarkable Card. At Randall’s all you do ask their Customer Service Booth for the form to link your Randall’s Remarkable Card of Discover Technology’s account number, 10261. By doing this Randalls will give 1% of the money you send to Discover Technology. This money will enable us to obtain money for needed adaptive equipment (which is usually very expensive) for persons with disabilities.
